Who says you need to come from a big city to make waves in hip-hop? Certainly not WaVy, the up-and-coming artist who’s proving that raw talent and a unique vision can emerge from anywhere – even Appleton, Wisconsin.

Known to fans as EvrY1LovesWaVy, this young musician is turning heads with his fresh take on hip-hop. But WaVy’s story isn’t your typical rags-to-riches tale. Growing up in the foster care system after losing his adoptive mother, he found solace and expression in music. It’s a background that’s shaped not just his sound, but his whole approach to life and art.

“I’m all about keeping it real,” WaVy told us in a recent chat. “Music isn’t just about making noise – it’s about connecting with people, sharing experiences, and maybe even helping someone out along the way.”

And connect he does. WaVy’s tracks run the gamut from head-nodding bangers to more introspective cuts. Take “Plug ME Up” or “Too Fucked Up” – these aren’t your cookie-cutter radio tunes. They’re raw, energetic, and impossible to pigeonhole. One minute you’re vibing to a trap beat, the next you’re diving into some experimental sounds that’ll make your brain do backflips.

But how did it all start? Well, 17-year-old WaVy, fresh mic in hand, decides to record an entire album in one wild, two-hour session. “I was so faded,” he admits with a laugh. “But something clicked that night. It was like, ‘This is it. This is what I’m meant to do.'”

That spontaneous recording session sparked a fire in WaVy that’s been burning ever since. He dove headfirst into the world of music production, soaking up influences from artists like Ski Mask The Slump God, Yeat, and Lil Darkie. But WaVy’s not one to simply mimic his heroes. Instead, he’s taken those influences and twisted them into something uniquely his own.

“I don’t believe in sticking to one lane,” WaVy explains. “Hip-hop is this massive, beautiful universe of sounds and styles. Why limit yourself?” It’s this philosophy that’s led to WaVy’s eclectic discography. From the hard-hitting beats of “The Best” to the more laid-back vibes of “Mandi Mandi,” each track feels like a new adventure.

Fast forward to today, and WaVy’s not just making music – he’s building an empire. In January 2024, he launched WaVySqWauD Records Collective. It’s not just a label; it’s a mission to unearth and nurture new talent. First signing? An artist named JxyLxcs. Keep an eye on that name, folks.

“Starting the label was a no-brainer,” WaVy says. “There’s so much talent out there that gets overlooked. I want to give other artists the platform I wish I had when I was starting out.” It’s a move that speaks volumes about WaVy’s character – even as he’s climbing the ladder, he’s reaching back to pull others up with him.

But wait, there’s more! When he’s not in the studio, you might catch WaVy on Twitch, going by “evry1loveswavyy”. He’s mostly destroying players in Rainbow Six Siege, but word on the street is he’s been grinding some serious Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 ranked matches too. Talk about a renaissance streamer, right?

“Gaming’s always been my other passion,” WaVy explains. “It’s a great way to unwind after a long studio session, and it lets me connect with fans in a different way.” This dual presence in music and gaming spaces is just another example of WaVy’s versatility and his knack for building community wherever he goes.

Now, you might be wondering, “What’s next for this Wisconsin wonder?” Well, buckle up. WaVy’s cooking up a new album with XXXMAKEEMRUN that promises to push boundaries and eardrums alike. “It’s not just music,” WaVy insists. “We’re creating an experience. Something that’ll stick with you long after the last track fades out.”

And for those itching to catch WaVy live, good news – a tour is in the works. Dates are still under wraps, but keep your eyes peeled on his socials. You won’t want to miss this. “Performing live is a whole different beast,” WaVy says. “There’s this energy exchange with the crowd that you just can’t replicate in the studio. I can’t wait to get out there and feel that.”

Here’s the thing about WaVy – he’s not just another rapper chasing clout. This is a guy who values authenticity above all else. “Stay humble,” he says, sounding more like a wise old sage than a young artist on the rise. “Success is cool and all, but if you lose yourself along the way, what’s the point?”

It’s this grounded attitude, combined with his kaleidoscopic approach to hip-hop, that makes WaVy one to watch. He’s not afraid to experiment, to push boundaries, to challenge both himself and his listeners. “I want my music to be a journey,” he explains. “Something that makes you think, feel, and maybe see the world a little differently.”

As our chat winds down, WaVy leaves us with a thought that seems to sum up his entire approach to music and life: “At the end of the day, it’s all about growth. As an artist, as a person. If I’m not learning, if I’m not evolving, then what am I even doing?”

From Appleton to the airwaves, WaVy is proof that with talent, hard work, and a dash of Wisconsin charm, you can make waves in the music world. He’s a reminder that great art can come from anywhere, and that staying true to yourself is the surest path to success.
