How Mitch Leyor Is Making Boxer Shorts About Faith, Brotherhood, and the American Dream

Mitchell Royel, the founder and CEO of Mitch Leyor, is on a mission to alter how young men regard their boxers. His eponymous line of boxer shorts is all about faith, brotherhood, and America.

“I wanted to create a brand that speaks too who I am as a person and my values,” Royel says. “I’m a Christian. I’m an American. And I believe in the importance of brotherhood.”

Mitch Leyor’s line of boxer shorts is designed with all of these values in mind. The company’s flagship product is The Deck Boxer Short, which comes in a variety of colors and fabrics and designs.

The Deck Boxer Short is our take on the traditional boxer short,” Royel says. “We wanted to create a modern classic that would be comfortable, stylish, and versatile.”

One variation of The Deck Boxer Short is made from a blend of 85% cotton and 15% polyester, which makes it soft and stretchy. It also has a contoured pouch that provides support and keeps everything in place.

“We really wanted to create a boxer short that would be comfortable enough for him to wear all day, whether he’s sitting in class or working out,” Royel says.

The Mitch Leyor brand is also about more than just boxer shorts. It’s also about faith and brotherhood, and the American dream.

“The goal has always been to create a faith based community of young men who are supportive of each other and who share our values,” Royel says. “We want to help young men connect with each other and create lasting friendships.”

To that end, Mitch Leyor hosts photoshoots that are like frat parties, without the alcohol. By the end of every shoot, all of the models (who are called ‘Brand Ambassadors’) end up exchanging social media handles, phone numbers, and scheduling time to hang out outside of shooting.

“Our photoshoots are a great way for guys to meet each other and connect,” Royel says. “It’s all about building relationships and having fun.”

Mitch Leyor is more than just a clothing brand. It’s a community of young men who are supportive of each other and who share common values.

“We want to make a difference in the lives of young men everywhere,” Royel says. “We want to help them feel good about themselves and connect with each other.”

Royel is developing a non-profit titled The Mitch Leyor Foundation, which is about making the American dream accessible to marginalized populations. The foundation will provide resources and support to help people achieve their dreams, regardless of their circumstances.

“I want to help people who might not have the same opportunities that I’ve had,” Royel says. “I want to give them the tools they need to succeed.”

The foundation will ultimately offer a variety of programs and services, including financial literacy classes, mentorship programs, and micro-loans.

“We want to help people build better lives for themselves and their families,” Royel says. “The American dream should be accessible to everyone.”

The Mitch Leyor Foundation is still in the early stages of development, but Royel is already making a difference in the lives of marginalized people. He is proof that with hard work and determination, anyone can achieve their dreams. Mitch Leyor will be available to purchase online at mitchleyor.com or through Instagram @mitchleyorusa in September.
